Situated in the beautiful Tarn region of South West France, amongst the stunning Gorges de Aveyron Vindrac is a small rural village. It has an ancient church,medieval mill and a mairie, the nearest shops are 1.5km away in Les Cabannes. Les Cabannes has a patisserie, excellent general store, hardware, beautician, two restaurants and a bar/tabac.

Cordes-sur-ceil is 3 km away, and has a supermarket, many restaurants and a great local market on Saturday morning. Cordes-sur-ceil is a picturesque medieval hilltop bastide village, which is one of Frances most beautiful villages. Other beautiful medieval villages nearby include Castelnau du Montmiral, and St Antonin Noble Val. St Antonin Noble Val has a fabulous local market each Sunday morning.

Fascinating local town sof Najac and Bruniquel have great castles to visit


The nearby town of Albi has a stunning cathedral and Toulouse-Lautrec museum, as well as great shopping and restraurants. Gaillac and Toulouse also offer a variety of sights/activities.

Local outdoor pursuits include hiking, cycling, fishing, kayaking, horse-riding, and swimming.

The amazing Carcassonne can be visited for a day trip. Another fabuloius day trip to the town of St Cirq le Popie, the prehistoric caves at the Pech Merle, and the Chateau de la Reine Margot at Saint Projet is very enjoyable.
